50 Volunteers of PRCS trained in traffic management
ISLAMABAD: Over 50 Volunteers of Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) gets training in traffic management by Islamabad Traffic Police here at PRCS National headquarters . Training workshop “Volunteers in Police (VIP)” was organized by Youth & Volunteer department in collaboration with Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) as part of the joint initiative of PRCS, Islamabad Capital Territory Police and Islamabad Traffic Police.
Speaking at the occasion, Chairman PRCS Dr Saeed Elahi said that The inclusion of PRCS volunteers in Volunteers Police Initiative is one such example of our pursuit of promoting safe living and community resilience, “I am very thankful to the administration of the Islamabad Capital Territory Police and Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP), for their collaboration and support to PRCS.” He added.
Speaking at the occasion, ITP Station Director FM 92.4 Ms Ayesha Jamil said that PRCS and ITP could work together to promote human values and to take up leadership role and inspire the positive transformation of attitudes and behaviors in favor of promoting safe living through this initiative.
At the close of ceremony, Dr Saeed Elahi distributed certificates among the volunteers.
PRCS Program Manager Youth & Volunteer Sami Ullah Abbasi, Incharge Education Wing ITP Rana Ishtiaq Ahmed, Senior Road Safety Officer ITP Sajjad Ahmed and others were also present
at the occasion.
