Iranian, Turkish Red Crescent Societies aid for flood victims arrives

ISLAMAABD AUG 15 2010: The Iranian and Turkish Red Crescent Societies have donated relief items worth million of rupees to Pakistan Red Crescent Society for the affectees of worst floods in the last 80 years in the history of Pakistan.
The relief items include tents, jerry canes, food packages, kitchen utensils, blankets, sleeping bags, beds, mattresses and medicines etc.
The relief goods donated by the Iranian and Turkish Red Crescent Societies have been handed over to Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) to be distributed among the flood affectees all over the country.
The Pakistan Red Crescent Society has planned to receive the Iranian and Turkish cargo planes with relief items at Lahore and Karachi airports for the early delivery to the flood victims who desperately need urgent help.
Iran has so far sent 142 tonnes of relief consignment for the flood victims.
