Our Introduction

The PRCS Regional Blood Donor Centre (RBDC) in Islamabad has been serving the community for last four decades. It is catering to the demand for supply of safe blood in twin cities. The facility has state of the art equipment to deal with blood and its sub products as per global standards. The PRCS RBDC has played an active role in being able to save numerous lives so far by providing safe blood to patients. The collection, screening, storage, and distribution of non-remunerated voluntary blood is one of the primary services provided by Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS). PRCS-RBDC focuses on solely voluntary blood donors. This is because they are safe donors who have a very low incidence of transfusion-transmissible infections. The PRCS RBDC is implementing a “Safe Blood Program” that embodies the spirit of “Altruism” and principle of Voluntary Un-Paid Blood Donation.
