Centre of Disease Control Programme by IFRC

Under our Basic Health Awareness Services

Our Introduction

The IFRC supported CDC Routine Immunization program, launched in 2018, was conceived with the primary objective of bolstering immunization coverage in districts at a significantly high risk level within the target regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Baluchistan, Pakistan. This initiative is a testament to our unwavering commitment to improving public health outcomes and preventing the spread of vaccine-preventable diseases in the most vulnerable areas.

Our Vision

Our vision is to create resilient and disease-free communities through the expansion of immunization services, ultimately contributing to improved public health and well-being.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide sustainable and high-quality immunization services in areas with the greatest health risks. By ensuring that every child has access to essential vaccines.

Our Objectives

The core objectives of the IFRC/NorCross supported PHC/Immunization Program are as follows:

The implementation of the Routine Immunization Program in select districts.

The provision of high-quality medicines in the operational areas.

Our Outreach

The Routine Immunization Program operates within the provinces of Balochistan and KP, focusing on the districts of Killa Abdullah, Chaman, Bannu, and SD-Wazir. In these regions, the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) teams are dedicated to enhancing immunization coverage and accessibility to ensure healthier communities.

Our Achievements

Overcoming significant challenges, our Routine Immunization Program has achieved remarkable progress in increasing immunization coverage:

In Killa Abdullah & Chaman, baseline coverage has risen from 20%
Bannu has seen a rise from 30%
SD-Wazir, starting at 11%, has reached 35% coverage.
